Different types of injections

A spinal injection is a procedure performed by a physician, designed to alleviate your pain. When these procedures are performed, its usually done with an x-ray, known as a fluoroscopy, as to assure the doctor knows what spinal structures the needle will be going into. There have been published reports showing that injections that were performed without fluoroscopy that the medication went into the wrong place 25% to 40% of the time!

The purpose of a therapeutic injection is to provide the patient with temporary pain relief.

Are there differences in results depending on the table being used for Axial Decompression?

I get asked this question a lot, and I have researched this quite extensively. Instead of me answering it directly, I’ll be using an article printed in the March 2008 issue of The American Chiropractor, written by Eric S. Kaplan, the CEO of Multidisciplinary Business Applications, Inc., who has his MBA.

There are actually 2 types of tables being sold to health care professionals. There are traction tables, which are a lot less expensive but don’t do decompression, and then there are decompression tables that are very expensive and actually do decompress the disc.

Doctors, no matter what their specialty, know the difference between the two. But the problem is, most patients don’t, and that may be the difference of you getting well or not.
