Dr. Larry Wilkins, founder and director of Wilkins Spinal Care in Mount Pleasant, PA earned his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1973. Dr. Wilkins received his license to practice chiropractic from the state of Pennsylvania in 1974. He began to practice in January 1975 and since then has added post-graduate hours in studies such as rehabilitation, manipulation under anesthesia, nutrition, pediatrics, exercises, and advanced work in the Pierce Chiropractic Method.

Dr. Wilkins is renound as a disc specialist, now utilizing the latest technologies in Spinal Decompression Therapy to help patients who previously had no alternative but surgery. He has re-focused his energy and research on helping people with severe or chronic lower back or neck pain, preventing unnecessary surgeries.

As an involved professional, Dr. Wilkins has many accomplishments to his credit. He served as a board member on two chiropractic organizations in Pennsylvania for eight years. Also, he is a teacher of the Pierce Chiropractic Method, and worked very closely with Dr. Pierce until his death.

Dr. Wilkins is also a founding member of two very prestigious organizations in chiropractic – Metro Chiropractic Services and the Chiropractic Golden Circle. In addition, he was nominated and accepted into the Chiropractic Knights of the Round Table in 1983.

Dr. Wilkins is a life-long resident of Kecksburg. He has three children, two sons – William and Benjamin and one daughter, Jenna. Larry (as he is known by many of his patients), and his wife, Nora love living and working in this area – grateful for the opportunity he has been given to serve his community – they plan on spening the remainder of their years right here.
